artist biography: Leon Lollipop
LeonLollipop the multi-disciplined artist and gallery founder, who focused on animals painting, graduated from Central St. Martins College of Arts and Design in the U.K. and he received a D&AD design award in London.
His works have been shown in Milan, London, Tokyo, Seoul and Taipei, including Milan Design Fair, Asia Contemporary Art Fair, Affordable Art Fair and Young Art Taipei. Leon has launched his first illustration book in 2012, and followed by 3 children illustration storybooks, as well as many other crossover projects with international brands such as Ermenegildo Zegna, Benefits Cosmetic, MCM Worldwide, Pacific Coffee, Bata Italia, Melissa and VOGUE China.
He also worked with various Shopping Malls in Asia for promotion projects, including Shin Kong Mitsukoshi Taipei, LCX@HarbourCity, IFS Cheng Du, Sun Hung Kai and Fashion Walk, integrating his paintings into commercial projects. Leon was invited by UA cinemas to showcase his paintings on cats to promote the movie “Street Cat Named Bob”. Since he is well-known for animal paintings, many animal-charities in Hong Kong had also worked with him on charity projects, such as SPCA and SAA (Society for Abandoned Animals Ltd).
